Job Description:

LifeSpeak delivers Software as a Service (SaaS) to our business clients and are looking for an experienced

MS Azure Data Center Manager to join our team. This position will have an immediate and lasting

impact on our operations, guiding us toward positive outcomes with comprehensive data center

management. The ideal candidate will have experience and working knowledge of MS Azure data center

products and services along with the ability to meet security requirements and the ability to help deploy

production code. This position will report to senior management and will be expected to work closely

with and support our Corporate IT Director, Security team and Development teams.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Provide high-quality support to development teams while working side by side with the
Corporate IT and Security teams.

  • Evaluate and prepare recommendations for cost management for both our Canadian and US
based MS Azure data centers.
  • Perform basic data center infrastructure maintenance and data management tasks to ensure
our applications remain available to our clients4x7x365.
  • Oversee and manage any third parties who provide outsourced services in the data center.
  • Your primary customers are the LifeSpeak development teams, and your first objective is to

provide them with the data center infrastructure they need to continue to develop our products
and services.

  • Perform maintenance, installation, and updates of all infrastructure.
  • Working with the security team helps ensure the safety and protection of customers�?? data.
  • Manage the secure storage and distribution of data in consultation with the database
administrator, security team and development teams.
  • Backing up all data.
  • Support the security team and external auditors as part of the SSAE18 SOC2 Type2 audits along
with supporting IT general controls reviews for financial audits.
  • Monitor and plan for capacity changes.
  • Upgrading hardware or software.
  • Researching new technologies to be utilized in the organization.
  • Presenting new tools that could be used to improve efficiency or cut costs.
  • Planning for any potential disruptions, problems or emergencies and preparing the ability to
recover if it becomes necessary.
  • Troubleshooting technical or data center specific issues.
  • Ensuring the operations are compliant with the regulations and laws.
  • Assist Chief Security & Privacy Officer with a range of assignments, including data center

operations and management along with helping define security requirements within the data
center.

Required Qualifications and Skillset:

  • Ability to handle multiple concurrent responsibilities in a highly dynamic environment.
  • Strong ability to work efficiently and effectively with multiple teams of people.
  • Excellent judgment and demonstrated discretion in handling confidential information.
  • Proficiency with MS Office65 and ability to maintain organized files using SharePoint.
  • Minimum five (5) years of MS Azure data center experience.
  • Associate degree (or equivalent) in information technology.
  • Professional certification a plus, but not required.
