US Product Owner - Customer Insights and Analytics

In this role, the US Product Owner - Customer Analytics will work with both global and US teams to deploy, develop and manage analytical tools to help drive forward customer analytics at ALDI. The ideal candidate will have experience with digital marketing and/or analytics and excellent relationship building, communication and project management skills.

This role is eligible to participate in ALDI’s Hybrid Work Program, which allows remote work up to 3 days per week (i.e., work remotely up to 3 days per week; work in-office at least 2 days per week).

Duties and Responsibilities:
Must be able to perform duties with or without reasonable accommodation.

  • Collaborates with global product owner and US business teams to create, test and evaluate product features, prioritizing the product backlog based on business needs and global resources.
  • Local subject matter expert on key features and use cases for Adobe Analytics, Adobe Launch and OneTrust consent management (e.g. website cookies)
  • Provides a vision for customer analytics connecting business objectives to product requirements
  • Collaborates with local and global internal stakeholders to identify new areas of opportunity.
  • Analyzes and evaluates product usage to maximize product adoption and drive ROI.
  • Understands global and local KPIs and communicates performance to the business.
  • Responsible for end-to-end processes related to owned platforms, including developing functional and non-functional business requirements.
  • Oversees US Adobe Analytics roadmap to ensure global solutions are customer-centric.
  • Provides strategic support to Customer Interaction teams through the use of data.
  • Provides consulting to Direct Leader for further development of Customer Interaction products and deployment strategies.
  • Recommends process/project/product improvements for area of responsibility.
  • Utilizes Agile practices and ceremonies.
  • Analyzes work procedures with the objective of driving simplicity and effectiveness.
  • Effectively communicates status and creates required project reporting for all appropriate participants.
  • Trains internal and external stakeholders on new product functionality, features and processes.
  • Collaborates with team members and communicates relevant information to leadership.

Job-specific Competencies:
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities

  • Solid knowledge of digital analytics tools, preferably Adobe Analytics (experience preferred but not required).
  • Knowledge of tag management tools, preferably Adobe Launch.
  • Strong background with data management fundamentals including database technology, ETL workflows, data analysis, and visualization.
  • Experience in strategy, design, creation, deployment and maintenance of data and analytics solutions.
  • Proven ability to use insights and data to put forth recommendations on product enhancements.
  • Experience working in an Agile framework.
  • Familiarity with digital marketing technology and digital transformation topics.
  • Familiarity with customer data privacy laws and their impact on marketing.
  • Possesses strong attention to detail and understands project cycle phases - definition through completion.
  • Strong verbal and written communicator; able to tailor messages to a variety of audiences.
  • Possesses a self-starter attitude and ability to work without direct supervision among multiple, concurrent projects.
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to multi-task in a professional and efficient manner.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing or other data-centric field.
  • A minimum of 3 years of progressive experience in digital analytics, product ownership or related experience.
  • Or, a combination of education and experience providing equivalent knowledge.
  • Product Owner Certification preferred but not required.
  • Certified Product Owner, Certified Scrum Product Owner, Agile Certified Practitioner.
  • Data science certification(s) preferred but not required.

Physical Requirements:
  • Work may be performed in an office, remote office or a combination of both where a computer and office equipment may be used as needed to perform duties.
  • Regularly required to sit, reach, grasp, stand and move from one area to another.
  • Constantly and repeatedly use keyboard/mouse.
  • Occasionally required to push, pull, bend, lift and move up to 25 lbs.

Travel:

  • Minimal travel required as needed for job related duties such as training, project work and administrative tasks.
