Bookkeeper

SBES is looking for an experienced bookkeeper using QuickBooks online, to work 5-20 hours per week. You will be responsible for bookkeeping for the SBES, working with the CFO, Controller and external bookkeeper to accurately code receipts and financial transactions into our accounting system and management AP.

Responsibilities:

• Coding financial transactions -
• Participate in months end accounting closing
• Make adjusting journal entries for financial transactions including some accrued expenses, and payroll accounting entries.
• Organize and manage the accounts payable process.
• Monthly Bank Reconciliations
• Monthly Credit Card Reconciliations
• Customer Account Reconciliations
• Special Projects as needed
• Administrative phone calls & follow-up as needed
• Attend weekly staff meetings via video conferencing.
• Maintain an organized account of work performed to provide frequent updates.

Required Skills:

• Must be proficient in QuickBooks Online
• Knowledge of and proficiency with Google suite
• Experience importing & coding items
• Proficient in Google sheets / Excel to make and maintain spreadsheets
• Familiarity with remote access software
• Ability to flag and communicate discrepancies
• Ability to work timely to meet deadlines
• Ability to follow up and resolve open items via email & phone
• Excellent ability to communicate with colleagues
• Can quickly learn new software programs
• Must have accounting expertise
• Must have skills for accrual and cash accounting
• Must have skills journal entry posting and management
• Must have skills payroll accounting entries
• Must have skills AP organization and management

Desired Experience:

• Experience with QuickBooks Online, Google sheets and Microsoft excel

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $19.00 - $23.00 per hour
