GENERAL STATEMENT OF JOB:
The Social Media and Marketing Coordinator�??s primary role is to focus on the execution of marketing initiatives and organizational goals through digital and traditional marketing channels. This person will report to the Director of Marketing and Special Projects.

The Social Media and Marketing Coordinator will use best practices to plan, implement, and evaluate digital marketing content distribution. This position will focus on increasing the organization�??s engagement with the members, families, and providers that Vaya Health serves. Also, this position is tasked with creating a positive user experience and helping contribute to the achievement of organizational and departmental goals.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
The Marketing Coordinator is responsible for (though not limited to):

Social media
  • Create social media content calendar, develop social media content, and schedule social media content that aligns with the department�??s overall editorial calendar and consistent with Vaya�??s brand and messaging.
  • Partner with Community Marketing team to create pre- and post-event social media content.
  • Prepare social media content calendars in advance for review and approval.
  • Oversee social media engagement and ensure timely and appropriate response strategy.
  • Develop an influencer strategy for SMEs to demonstrate thought leadership on social media.
  • Create and implement targeted social media advertising as defined by the Director of Marketing and Special Projects.
  • Work with internal and external subject matter experts (SMEs) to brainstorm relevant digital content.
  • Measure and report on the performance of all social media channels against organizational goals and identify areas of opportunity.

General Communications and Marketing Support
  • Partner with the Office of Communications�?? brand and messaging team to create an editorial calendar that supports organizational goals.
  • Develop and oversee key marketing and advertising campaigns for the communications team.
  • Seek opportunities for improvement and share insights with the Marketing Department.
  • Stay current with ever-changing trends, best practices, and insights to make recommendations for new channels or content.
  • Back up support for website content management.
  • Additional responsibilities as needed.

Internal Communications and Marketing Support
  • Serve as a backup resource for internal communication channels.

QUALIFICATIONS & CREDENTIALING REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor�??s degree in Marketing, Communications, or related field required and at least 2 �?? 3 years of relevant experience.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
  • Close visual acuity to perform activities such as preparation and analysis of documents; viewing a computer terminal; and extensive reading.
  • Physical activity in this position includes crouching, reaching, walking, talking, hearing and repetitive motion of hands, wrists and fingers.
  • Sedentary work with lifting requirements up to 10 pounds, sitting for extended periods of time.
  • Mental concentration is required in all aspects of work.

KNOWLEDGE OF JOB:
  • Experience with branded social media marketing best practices, channels, and tools.
  • Experience with Adobe Creative Suite products such as Illustrator, Spark, Photoshop, InDesign, and Premiere.
  • Experience with Canva and other graphic editing tools.
  • Experience with paid advertising is preferred, but not required.
  • Have creative mindset and actively contribute to innovative digital marketing strategies that support the needs of stakeholders.
  • Communicates clearly and effectively in written and verbal formats.
  • Highly collaborative and focused on a team approach to successful results.
  • Demonstrate the highest level of personal integrity and professional judgement.
  • Expected to be a self-starter who can work well in a quick-paced environment without supervision as necessary.
  • Exceptionally adept at learning new concepts with a desire for new challenges
  • Strong interpersonal skills and demonstrated ability to take ownership on multiple projects.
  • Ability to meet tight deadlines and prioritize multiple projects at once while maintaining the quality.
  • Able to produce visual content (graphic and/or video).
  • Excellent computer skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite is required.
  • Ability to travel as needed to support the Office of Communications team (estimated 5 to 10% travel).

The person in this position IS required to reside in North Carolina or within 40 miles of the NC border.

SALARY:
Depending on qualifications & experience of candidate. This position is exempt and is not eligible for overtime compensation.
