Agile Defense is looking for a process-minded People Operations Specialist to join our growing People team. You will be an integral part of the People Operations team by ensuring all people processes are efficiently executed promptly to create the most streamlined employee experience across the organization.

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (keeping in mind that this role will evolve with our growth)

  • Partner closely with other People functions and People Partners (HRBPs) to execute HR operational processes and services with a focus on employee experience and data integrity.
  • Process employee changes and terminations, including document generation, notifications, and HR systems updates.
  • Support with reporting, audit, and data integrity initiatives.
  • Be the first point of contact for employee questions and employment verification requests. Escalate issues to other members of the People team, if appropriate.
  • Assist with onboarding new hires (system entry, paperwork validation, background check administration, orientation delivery).
  • Create and maintain the employee engagement plan and conduct projects to increase employee involvement and motivation (vision meetings, fun activities, wellness activities)
  • Document, maintain, and communicate core HR processes to stakeholders, managers, and employees.
  • Build strong relationships with the managers and employees and act as a strong advisor for all HR-related queries. Provide feedback and coaching at the management and employee levels, and monitor the �??pulse�?� of the organization, to quickly identify and troubleshoot problems and recommend appropriate solutions.
  • Identify and drive process improvement efforts, leveraging HR systems to automate and eliminate manual work where possible.
  • Ensure that all employees have a great experience from onboarding to exit.


QUALIFICATIONS
Education, Background, and Years of Experience

  • Ideally, 3+ years�?? experience working on an HR or People Operations team, including experience with an HRIS (UKG Pro experience strongly preferred) and other solutions in the HR tech stack (Cognos, PandaDoc, Slack, Microsoft Office Suite, Traliant).
