In compliance with applicable State regulatory authorities, COVID-19 vaccination is mandatory for all MSK staff. Staff are considered fully vaccinated upon completion of a primary vaccination series for COVID-19 (i.e., one dose of a single dose vaccine or a final dose of a multi-dose vaccine series). Exceptions from the COVID-19 vaccine requirement are permitted for those who request and receive an approved medical or fully remote exemption. Requests for medical exemption can take up to two weeks to review. Vaccination or an approved medical exemption is required to start work.

  • Staff working at a MSK New Jersey location must be up to date with COVID-19 vaccination, which includes having completed the primary COVID-19 vaccination series and booster once eligible as mandated by New Jersey State. All New Jersey staff not yet eligible for a booster must receive a booster within 3 weeks of becoming eligible as a condition of continued employment at MSK.

Individuals are eligible to receive a COVID-19 booster two months after completion of a primary vaccination series for COVID-19. Because vaccine-induced immunity can wane over time, MSK continues to strongly urge all staff to get a COVID-19 booster as soon as they become eligible to maintain their protective immunity for a longer period.
Job Description:

We Are:

MSK is looking for an Administrative Assistant to join our Social Work team. As an Administrative Assistant you will provide a wide range of administrative support to a department leader and/or group of professionals. Major responsibilities include but are not limited to ordering office supplies and equipment, handling expenses and paperwork, document preparation, scheduling, assisting with visitors, and participating in departmental projects. In addition, you will be responsible for resolving basic problems and questions that relate to the department or division and identifying a course of action for the complex ones.

You Will:

  • Triage phone calls from patients, clinical staff, and all others.
  • File and maintain employee documents, license, certificates, etc. Set up and assist with auditing personnel files.
  • Assist new employees with philanthropy training and make sure pager/phone work orders are updated.
  • Review and process philanthropy budget sheets for approval (approximately 50 sheets a day).
  • Manage calendar for meetings and setting up zoom/teams.
  • Audit excel spreadsheet data for reporting.
  • Order supplies, business cards, staples order, pagers, phone and facility work orders etc.

You Need:

  • Microsoft Office skills (Word and Excel,) and familiarity with Zoom
  • Ability to provide exceptional customer service to internal employees and other clients with the highest level of professionalism
  • Solid organizational skills, detail-oriented with the ability to multi-task and meet deadlines with minimal supervision
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise independent judgment consistent with department guidelines
  • Ability to adapt to unexpected circumstances, in a team-oriented environment
