    Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Finance, Business Administration or other related discipline. Four (4) years of equivalent work experience may be substituted for education requirements. Demonstrated proficiency in providing support for the Skyward Student Information System (or similar SIS). Experience analyzing data from multiple data sources to effectively identify and correct inconsistencies. Experience analyzing business practices and providing recommendations to administrators in order to align practices with software capabilities. Experience creating and maintaining processes to facilitate the collection of data in a K-12 education environment which include the set-up, support, business practices, and beginning/year- end processes of a student information system. Experience providing effective support for users needing assistance with both common and challenging tasks. Experience organizing and providing small and large group training to all levels of staff.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
    Expertise in prioritizing assigned work to meet deadlines, including due dates for multiple, time-sensitive reports. Experience maintaining confidential student information and knowledge and understanding of state and federal laws mandating such. Excellent interpersonal communication skills and ability to clearly and accurately express complex technical concepts verbally and in writing to all levels of district staff. Strong organizational skills; ability to handle multiple projects and deadlines with minimal supervision; ability to prioritize workload and manage time effectively. Strong customer service orientation. Proficiency in the use of computers and software applications, including, but not limited to, the Skyward Student Information System, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and other similar data warehousing or reporting tools. Ability to work effectively in a fast paced environment, to multi-task, answer multiple phone lines, and work effectively with frequent interruptions. Ability to work with a diverse range of education professionals with varying levels of technical ability. Solid problem-solving and analysis skills that demonstrate resourcefulness and attention to detail. Ability to work independently as well as in a cross-functional team environment, collaborating with others and sharing tools, skills, and knowledge. Ability to advance and adapt with technological, policy and practice changes. Regular attendance to carry out the duties and responsibilities of the position to achieve program goals. Ability to sit or stand for long periods. Required use of personal vehicle.

Essential Functions:
    Works directly with the Washington School Information Processing Cooperative (WSIPC) and Office of Superintendent of Public Instruction (OSPI) for collection, verification, and validation of critical data as related to school funding based on student data extracted from the Skyward Student Information System (SIS). Analyzes and corrects data, and generates reports in order to meet state and federal reporting requirements using data from the current student information system. Works collaboratively with building and central office personnel in person and by phone in support of the Skyward SIS application. Directly interface with, instruct, and support departments and district staff on validation of data and reporting. Acts as Tier III support for SIS by analyzing and troubleshooting software problems and/or determines the best options for assisting customers with the application; consults on application features and functions. Communicates effectively with customer support staff from the state to interpret report requests and data needs. Provides training and develops resources for all departments and school sites in the use of SIS modules applicable to their work. Regularly uses software tools and report writers to develop reports from multiple sources and programs such Excel and Skyward data mining. Assists in review and deployment of new or updated SIS modules. Assists in developing and documenting the operating procedures and practices related to SIS use. Assumes other responsibilities and performs other work as assigned.
