Administrative Assistant



Days & Hours:

Monday – Friday 8:00 to 4:30PM, with lunch from 12:00-1:00PM

Occasional Evenings attending meetings

Two week period in November will have an 8:00 to 5:00PM schedule


Employee will remain on a 6 month probationary period beginning the date of hire. After successful completion of the 6 month probationary period, employee will be eligible for extended benefits. Medical is available after 90 day period. Benefits include vacation pay, medical, dental, vision and life insurance, retirement, educational opportunities, and paid holidays. Employee will have costs associated with their portion of benefits. More description will be given during interview.

General Job Description:

Office assistant/administrative assistant for property management office. Will be an assistant to three managers and a bookkeeper.

Experience Requirements:

At least five years administrative experience in an office setting.

Skill Requirements:

  • Advanced computer knowledge
  • Experience required in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
  • Strong writing and grammar skills
  • Strong letter writing skills
  • Ability to read, understand and analyze complex documents
  • Ability to work in a diverse environment
  • Organized
  • Able to multitask and work in a fast paced environment (candidate will be working under three individuals)
  • Able to prioritize
  • Good communication skills
  • Good typing skills
  • Advanced knowledge of electronic files
  • Advanced knowledge of basic office equipment

More Specific Job Duties:

The job will entail answering phones and directing calls, making and returning miscellaneous phone calls, scheduling vendors, scheduling meetings, electronic scanning and filing, research on projects for managers or bookkeeper, coordinating mail-outs, coding and light data entry, miscellaneous typing, letter drafting, preliminary document research and letter drafting for managers, copying and Board meeting preparation, calendaring and setting up reminders, and running errands (bank, office supplies)

Position requires regular contact with the public. Candidate should be outgoing and bubbly and like working with the public, as well as deal with conflict in a professional, courteous manner. Prior customer service experience is preferred. Candidate should be able to work under a deadline and have the ability to communicate clearly, efficiently and continuously report back to managers with status updates.

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $13.00 to $15.00 /hour
