Organization:CPMC-California Pacific Med Center Van Ness Position Overview:Assists in preparing for and during surgery by performing routine and delegated duties according to standards and policies of the department and hospital to assure quality patient care. Job Description: EDUCATION HS Diploma: High School or General Education (GED) or equivalent education/experience Completion of a formal accredited Operating Room Technician program CERTIFICATION & LICENSURE BLS-Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider CST-Certified Surgical Technologist PREFERRED EXPERIENCE AS TYPICALLY ACQUIRED IN: Two (2) years scrubbing experience at CPMC. SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE Basic knowledge of surgical procedures, equipment, and supplies. Requires communication, organization and interpersonal skills. Requires flexibility to accommodate emergencies as well as changing schedules and priorities. This range has not been adjusted for any specific geographic differential applicable by area where the position may be filled.
