Posting Summary Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, is seeking an Applications Specialist for NJMS-Office of the COO-Tss. The Application Specialist is responsible for the technical end-user support of educational systems and technologies for the School of Graduate Studies (SGS)- RBHS Newark. Among the key duties of this position are the following: Provides technical support to end users with the daily operations, maintenance and functionality of educational systems, tools and technologies for curriculum management in SGS. Leads person of contact for learning management systems such as Canvas; course management system such as the Education Management System (EMS); technology tools such as Turning Point; testing and assessment software programs such as Exam Soft and Responds as well as lecture capturing software programs, Yuja and Kaltura. Works with SGS Newark Office of Student Affairs and Admissions, audio visual and programming team and other entities to coordinate and implement changes, streamline process workflows, systems testing, problem solving and resolution, creating documentation and quality assurance. Assists with basic AV in-classroom and remote support on collaboration platforms such as Zoom, WebEx, MS Teams, etc Supports the faculty with on-site, remote and/or hybrid courses Works with the user community (faculty, staff & students) in delivering a high level of service Acts as a liaison between the end user community, Technology Support Services, the Office of Information & Technology (OIT), and outside vendors. Represents Technology Support Services by participating in various enterprise wide RU educational support committees and communities.
