Project/Program Analyst

Under the general supervision of the Associate Director of Strategic Initiatives, Incumbent will support the planning, execution, and ongoing management of new and existing programming designed primarily to serve undergraduate UCLA populations, as well as some external, non-UC populations. Specific duties include supporting initiatives focused on time-to-degree, improving student preparedness for post-graduation life, helping undeclared students successfully identify and pursue their majors, assisting transfer students in their transition to UCLA, managing self-supporting degree programs with summer components, and other responsibilities as assigned. Incumbent is expected to provide support throughout the lifecycle of all assigned project/program efforts from initiation, research, and preparation stages, through to execution, ex post facto review & evaluation, and ultimately future-forward, long-term planning. Additionally, Incumbent will be required to review and monitor enrollment and market trends for summer offerings and suggest possible programming ideas and recommendations for improvement as needed, build relationships with key stakeholders, and serve as a liaison with other campus and external units as assigned. Responsibilities require project management skills, attention to detail, experience with data analysis and reporting, working independently and collegially with various academic departments, units, and other campus communities, and a willingness to serve a diverse population of students, as well as faculty/staff. Excellent verbal and written communication skills to obtain, relate, and explain complex information clearly, concisely, accurately, and diplomatically, as well as to enforce policy and procedures, in both formal and informal settings Required 6. Ability to deal with sensitive and confidential matters and documents using discretion Required 7. Demonstrated ability to successfully organize, plan, and execute small- and large-scale projects and events Required 8. Exceptional interpersonal skills to represent UCLA Summer Sessions and interact effectively with various constituencies, including third-party organizations, off-site vendors, and local/other community participants & partners Required 9. General knowledge of University regulations, procedures, the layout of the campus, the structure and function of University offices and departments, and their organizational relationships Preferred 10. Ability to comprehend and use Summer Sessions systems, as well as University systems for summer registration and enrollment related activities Required 11. Knowledge of generally accepted counseling methods and intake techniques, and skill in employing them with sensitivity to assist various summer populations in making summer registration and enrollment related decisions. Required 12. Ability to work evenings, weekends, and flexible schedules as required Required 13. Ability to lift approximately 20 lbs. to move tables and chairs, to access materials in high or low places, to move carts, boxes, etc. Required 14.
