Overview:
Avalara is looking for a HR Support Associate to join our growing Global People Operations team. This is a perfect position for someone looking to begin their career in Human Resources with plenty of opportunities for professional growth and development.
Responsibilities:
The HR Support Associate will learn foundational HR knowledge while supporting employees, managers and HR business partners across the globe with entering information into our HR systems, answering general policy and process questions and providing excellent customer service.
Job Duties:
Serve as first point of contact and provide quality customer service in response to inquiries made via our issue tracking system, e-mail, Slack, etc. from employees, managers and HR business partners
Administer day-to-day business process support
Work efficiently to resolve and close cases accurately and timely
Use procedures, policies, knowledge database and other reference materials to assist in answering inquiries
Follow up with internal customers (employees, managers, etc.) to ensure full resolution of issues
Help maintain the integrity of our HR data through auditing and data correction
Create and maintains employee files and related records
Support the new hire onboarding process to ensure critical tasks are completed by the new hires
Participate in testing activities as needed
Qualifications:
Qualifications
Experience with Microsoft Office or Google Suite is preferred
Analytical skills and strong attention to detail
Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information discretely and professionally
Ability to work collaboratively with team members and management
Excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to communicate effectively with all levels of employees and leaders
Ability to meet tight timelines and prioritize competing demands
Ability to learn and adapt to new software/systems quickly
Approaches challenges with curiosity and offers new solutions and ideas
Strong work ethic, reliable and self-directed
Experience in HR or with Workday a plus but not required
Pay Range Details
The base pay range(s) below are provided in compliance with state specific laws. Pay ranges may be
different in other locations.
Colorado $46,400-$72,000 (annually)
Washington $46,400-$79,500 (annually)
California $$46,400-$87,000 (annually)
NYC $56,200-$87,000 (annually)
The pay range above is the general base pay range for a successful candidate in the state listed. The
successful candidate’s actual salary/wage may be based on various factors, such as geographic
location, candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.
This role is eligible for an annual bonus based on individual and company performance, depending on
the terms of the applicable plan and the employee’s role.
