Commercial Lines Business Services Group (BSG) Team Member
Summary:
Dynamic team of learning minded professionals seeks resourceful self-starters! Do you love to be productive and learn new things? Do you enjoy finding new ways to make systems better? This position provides the opportunity to work in the fast paced world of insurance operations with an organization that is focused on continuously improving the process to make it more efficient.
BSG supports profit centers across the Commercial Lines division of C&F. We strive to provide excellent service to our partners while minimizing waste. We are a self-organizing cross functional team who work collaboratively to find solutions and improve efficiencies, while also having fun at work.
What you will do for C&F:
BSG is comprised of dedicated professionals who support underwriting and claims teams. Our team members perform some of the following functions:
Underwriting:
General underwriter support
Rating
Preparation of quote, binder and policy documents
Coordination of New and Renewal business processing
Manage agency appointments, commissions
Execution of predictive/scoring models
Entry and maintenance of key policy info into documentation platforms
Endorsement processing
Claims:
General adjuster support
Preparation of letters and notices
New Claim intake and triage
Regulatory reporting (EDI) & Special state reporting requirements
Bill payment
Scan and index documents
Shared Services:
Process invoices for all CL departments
Process management
Provide desktop support and training to CL employees
Manage employee licenses
Answer phones (corporate and departmental)
Integration to statistical coding platforms
Across All Teams:
Take continuing education courses to maintain licenses
Assist with special projects upon request
What you will bring to C&F:
Self-Starter
Solution focused
Resourceful problem solver Flexible when learning new concepts, methods and technology
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
Undergraduate Degree or prior experience in related field a plus, but not required
Continuous improvement mindset
