Paid Training and Certificate in Early Childhood

Summary Children's Community Development Center in Westport has space available in a grant funded 6 month paid internship and CDA Certificate program for people interested in starting a career in Early Childhood Education. Duties Participants will be required to work 30 hours per week for 6 months from the start date. Pay will be $15 per hour. We will provide certification training in First Aid, CPR, Administration of Medication, and Epipen. The Care4Kids Health and Safety Orientation must also be completed. In addition, we will provide a CDA (Child Development Associate) credentialing program (or a 3 credit course) at no cost to the participant. Requirements Candidates must be new to the field of Early Childhood Education. Up to date COVID and Flu vaccine Benefits Through this program, participants will meet or exceed the 120 hours of formal early childhood education training, and the 480 hours of professional work experience required to obtain a CDA credential. There is a weekly travel stipend included.
